Diorama is a German electropop band active for a little more than twenty years now, that really has had a significant and expressive impact on the musical scene of their home country. With a prominent style of their own, their music is characterized by profoundly surreal personal concepts, dramatic melodies, an elusive storyline, and a pop flavor that delivers the grandiosity of a popular appeal. With these qualities, that sometimes works at their benefit, and sometimes don’t, Diorama has managed to develop an impressive style, that made them quite remarkable on the German electropop scene.

With an interesting discography, that shows an exceedingly active band, with members highly involved in other bands, side projects and musical endeavors as well, a huge international following is yet to be achieved by the group, that has seen little exposure outside borders. This fact is certainly a shame, since they have a strong potential for going international, specially giving the fact that they sing in English, and not in German, which seems to be a common feature within the country’s musical scene. But, of course, this is not the only reason that one can enlist for a prospective international career for Diorama. They have a stronger set of musical qualities, that makes the group a cornerstone of their genre, and it’s a shame that only a handful of people is familiar with them outside Germany.

With sincere and dark lyrics, that seems to be profoundly rooted in a playground of emotional turmoil, Diorama apparently understood right how to develop and create a solid musical identity. With an impressive array of skills, the qualities found on their music are not there by accident, and if you can listen to them with attention, you will comprehend the spirited nuances and dark subtleties of their music.

With a great history and a perfectly solidified career, Diorama doesn’t have to prove anything to anyone, except for themselves. If they are willing to go to a longer stance, and to achieve an expansive horizon, wishing more people to have the chance of knowing their music, they certainly have a lot of work to do. But, on the other hand, they can perfectly stand on their own, while appreciating the musical journey, as well as what they have done so far, embracing the right opportunities for them, while pursuing the musical objectives they feel are the right ones. Doesn’t matter what they decide to choose, I hope you have the chance of knowing them better!
