Dwalend bij Nacht en Ontij is an album released on April 20 by Dutch atmospheric black metal project Elfsgedroch. Forty-four minutes long, the record has five tracks: De Broedermoordvloek, Het Duivelsvuur Van Schiermonnikoog, De Armemanskisten, Het Dansende Duivelslicht Van Dood En Verderf and Geweeklaag Der Helleveeg. A marvelous and deeply poetic album with an impeccable and endurable sense of artistry, that recollects at the epicenter of its sincere and intense hyperboles the protuberant recognition of forgotten disappointments solemnly relocated at the omnipotent ambivalence of an empire of human melancholic harmonies, its strength and splendor hides on the honesty of its objective assumptions the beauty and the vivacity of a lost infatuation, permanently locked in the eyes of a personal universe, that seems to be a persistently dead sentence seeking endlessly for a monumental confidence of dense, but intermittent, allegorical narratives.

With strong and abrasive guitar lines, that echoes on the everlasting resilience of its whimsical intonations the imperial majesty of a vague desire that sincerely evokes the peripheral parameters of its discreet nature, the main qualities of this album rest on precisely undertaking measures of serene, but constant and coherent rhythmical energies, that seems to permanently rely on the sensitivity of its imposing tenures the aggrandizing features of its splendorous harmonious capacities, that circumnavigates the strength of its technical predispositions over the soul of dark frivolities, that keeps its insatiable illnesses working around a sonorous universe of sagacious allegiance and placid confidence.

With vigorous melodies that doesn’t take the easiness of its intentions for free, the correlated eagerness of its musical simplicity contrasts deeply with the complex characteristics of its delicate, but acerbic melodic agenda, that circulates over the axis of its progressive intonations the eternal despondency of a disintegrating personal universe, where all affirmative alignments brightly converge to a peripheral quest for philosophic comprehension.

A somewhat abstract work, deeply concentrated, but formidably created, and brilliantly executed, Dwalend bij Nacht en Ontij is a tremendously marvelous album, that aggregates an intuitive splendor to the genre of atmospheric black metal, while being fiercely attached to its surreal principles of poetic daydreams. Certainly, an overtly compressed, but juxtaposed symphony of sensibility, that expands itself into the center of a universe locked within the strength of its own expansive allegory.
