We couldn’t find any information about Leegte, nope, nada. The only thing we know that Abandon is a very interesting and aggressive piece of atmospheric black metal. Three tracks filled with raging riffs that blast out of the speakers. The vocal inputs sound like screaming drones and howls of the blackest kind, delivering an unearthly floating mood. Track one, Forsaken To The Ire starts in a Blut Aus North style but changes fast into a sharp Norwegian black metal based track. The eerie vocal sounds produce a gruesome tendency. No lyrics are used, only the grim ululations of unknown aliens are audible. Track two, Who Unto Him, has the same enigmatically style with more variations in speed and structure.
Track three, Deny Me Your Tears, has a slow melancholic start with an input of doom. The tension rises easy and exploding into promising blasting riffs. There was more attention for keyboard sounds and effects in this song. Deny Me Your Tears made us notice that there are still several paths to discover for Leegte. The production and sound of this EP is dirty and evil. The drums could have been mastered more to the front (a problem occurring a lot). But never the less, Leegte is evolving fast into a devastating infernal beast. Abandon is available as a name your price digital album on Leegte’s Bandcamp page. Black metal fans: excavate this!
