Tempting Abyss is an album released on June 15 by Romanian label Melusine Records, being the 8th record in the discography of a Germany-based electronic music artist known by the alias of Mystic Crock. Sixty three minutes long, the record has only one track – Tempting Abyss – worked in several different versions by various producers. An exceedingly beautiful and astonishingly relevant record, with an ardently casual and festive lounge atmosphere, Tempting Abyss has a paradoxical and exponentially dimensional vibe, concentrated in a highly energized dose of delightful illusions, that subtly perceives in the right insinuations of its homogeneous soundscape a horizontal fertility that produces perfectly designed melodies, that deciphers planetary cosmogonies at the epicenter of  static, yet pronouncedly versatile harmonies, that dreams endlessly in a tower of splendid serenity and wonderful comfort, dispersing worlds of fantastic infinities precisely aligned with the most marvelous dispositions of the galaxies we can found within the confinements of our own soul.

Dispatching forgotten worlds of imponderable hallucinations and overwhelming rapture throughout the vicinities of an integral patience, never before a beautiful track has been worked so ostensibly by so many different artists eager to explore its practically endless possibilities, layered by the melodies hidden within its sonorous boundaries. With surprising results, I can’t really elect what are the best versions, or if there is one. All eight recreations are simply beyond expectations, and each and every one of them can be considered a fantastic sensorial journey by its own right.

A fantastic masterpiece that certainly deserves all the compliments possible, Tempting Abyss is a major and astounding journey throughout the unknown corridors of the universe, certainly never experienced by ordinary minds. With a colorful and deeply vibrating sound that propitiates an enormously gratifying travel throughout sonorous devices, this record is highly recommended for all enthusiasts of atmospheric ambient subgenres of electronic music. In this case, chillout and psybient, more specifically.

Tempting Abyss deserves the highest score possible, in what concerns electronic music recent releases. A formidable album, that has no faults or mistakes whatsoever, this record is an excellent milestone, that has to be fundamentally highlighted and promoted, in each and every corner of the underground scene!
