And that is exactly what makes this work so different: it is able to emotion anyone who is willing to open their heart to hear it. This happens simply with its beautiful and absurdly well-produced musical notes, regardless of the listener's level of knowledge, religion, political positioning and favorite sport. However, the history of this album is even more interesting! In 2016, Jason Sweeney - the guy behind this project - made a "musical odyssey" in four cities of his country (Adelaide, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne) to find quiet/retreat zones in a desire to try to answer a rather interesting question: "Can you find a way to release yourself, if only temporarily, from the noise of the world?"... Oh, the eternal “silence utopia”...
Curiously, other famous bands have already done similar projects. Has anyone heard about 'Sonic Highways' from Foo Fighters? Please, I have nothing against this band, I love them! But 'Quiet Ecology', in an artistic sense, is at a much deeper level than any other similar project because of two factors: an unique sensitivity and no business concerns. I vaguely remember an interview where Chuck D, of Public Enemy, said something like: don’t trust sellers, they just want to sell you something. This isn't - definitely - the case of Jason Sweeney... He doesn't want to sell a product, he just wants to gift people with a sincere musical retreat experience!
