With an intelligent, but at the same time intrinsically traditional style – that nevertheless contemplates into the overall disposition of its anatomy the greatest panorama of poetic and serene melodies –, eager to expose a continuous and consistent musical framework of artistic embodiment, the songs on this album seems to evaporate from the haze of an everlasting melancholy, that confronts the inception of a sinisterly evasive horde of taciturn shadows, conscious enough to walk in liberty from the general horizon of a lost perception of reality. With vividly free-flowing harmonies that are generally more gracefully colorful than what is usually testified in the genre, Death Epic showcases wonderful serenades of vitality, that celebrates the sensational ambivalence of its perfunctory sentimental elements, that are definitely more dynamic and lucid in the context of its abundant synergy.
With a cultivated disposition of harmonies that makes the album exceedingly evolved and fantastic at the epicenter of its sorrowful sympathy – as a matter of fact, a pleasure to hear from the beginning –, Phantom formidably exhibits in a very refined technique its splendorous capabilities, through the exponential singularities of its style, that is beautifully developed in a very classic context, cohesively ascendant at the sober insight of its organic musical expansion.
Displaying a formidable degree of excellence all the way through, Death Epic is a sensational and mandatory album for enthusiasts of black metal. With marvelous melodies, and an exceptional degree of superb qualities, the work is undoubtedly very surprising and meaningful, and certainly, it will be celebrated everywhere, in the underground music scene.
