Gracefully and enchantingly displaying an affection for calm and serene harmonies, Memories is a very good ambient work, whose sound combines perfectly with peaceful silent places and a heavenly state of mind. The music displayed by the artist is simple – it will hardly impress experienced listeners of the genre –, although the profound degree of technical competence and knowledge found in the work is astoundingly relevant.
Certainly an album that can be described as beautiful, elegant and sincere, a vehement simplicity seems to be the main structural ordeal of the music. With a direct style, that communicates its spiritual sensitivity to the listener through frugal and intuitive melodies, Memories manages to be a captivating and emotional work, whose practical and uncomplicated tenure is quite appealing to the sensibilities of the soul.
While the work certainly resents a little the absence of more sophisticated audacities – the album can be perceived as monotonous at times –, the general feeling the work transmits is undoubtedly singular and moderately fascinating. Although Memories has a modest degree of predictability, the final evaluation of the work can be described as positively genuine and splendid. The guitar lines are strikingly well crafted, and explores the creation and consistence of the sound in a placid atmosphere of harmonious resignation, that invites the listener to rest for a while, until the world recovers from the degrading lethargy of its apathy, that are gradually destroying the frail tissue of existence. Definitely, Memories deserves to be described as a lucid, poetic, sensible and gracefully intense album, that transports the mind of the listener to a calmer, solitary, quiet and confident parallel universe.
