Released on October 7, Vesta is the debut album of the eponymous Italian post rock band. Thirty seven and a half minutes long, the record has seven tracks: Signals, Resonance, Constellations, Ethereal, Nebulae, Aurora pt.1 and Aurora pt.2. With an energized and a more ferocious style, Vesta, the album, as well as the style of the group, can be described as being primarily characterized by a sensible serenity, that serves as the main device for audacious and poignantly precise melodies, aimed at dragging to the center of its vicious harmonious linear correlations the extraordinarily brutal incisions of heavier rhythms, that fuels the songs with more abrasive and aggressive elements.

An awesome record, exceedingly creative, hostile, unconventional, exceptionally creative and precisely expansive – as well as concomitantly pure and toxic, which is a combination hard to sustain –, the colorful horizon of the musical principles of the band sometimes perfectly encounters and manages a post metal criteria, that extends the diluted ambivalence of its melodic grace towards an implosive dissonance, that counterattacks the spirit of a shocking delight, effusively ordained over a galaxy of perceptive intonations. This increasingly deliberative creative principle audaciously dissipates a vivid realm of conscious lucidity above the interesting effort to consolidate a fabulous sensorial circle of majestic rapture, that not only understands the sound, but uses it as a main platform to contemplate its interactive arrangements.

A formidable album with several qualities, the music in Vesta is not only splendid in shape, but eloquently participates in the heart of the listener. Being full of life and wandering over a galaxy of splendorous vivacity, the sound breaks distinct ordinary barriers, and enters directly into a compound of silent palaces of desolation, to reverse everything that stands against its calculated ferocity.

A very intelligent and precise record, that reveals a fully matured group, that has wisely developed a style of their own, Vesta’s eponymous debut album gets close to be classified as a masterpiece. Near a marvelous level of pungent excellence, this record certainly takes the genre into a more drastic peripheral zone, revolving its anatomy in a rebellious twist of fascinating recreation, leaving the audience to speculate what marvelous results this group would achieve in future albums.
