Poetically infused with the shadows of its own introspective cosmogony, the sensitive and organic musicality of the group dilutes over the creative labyrinth of its objective nature the evasive consternation of a universe that reluctantly accepts the abrasive desolation of its own demise. With a desperate splendor whose grace is poignantly felt by the arbitrary delusions of magnificently evocative harmonies – that pours all the sentimental resignations of its depressive lunar soul over the disruptive exhilarations of an apparently limited structural diagram –, Like You Say showcases a versatile, but profoundly strong style, whose sharp and pungent melodies definitely displays a genuine creativity, fundamentally engraved at the axis of its own musical parameters.
This symphony of serene splendor, that purges the universe from all of its unwittingly dramatic deceptions, is abundant, methodical and cohesive in practical values, despite the fact that by mid-album things get a little repetitive and restrictive. Nonetheless, the brilliant creativity of the group – and all the monumental emotional palaces exposed by the grave sensibilities of its lucid, but at the same time vague atmospheres – has resulted in a major album, where conciliatory elements easily converge peacefully, over the reinstated predicaments of its vast mosaic of symbolic devices.
Although the album definitely has tedious passages, the overall triumph of its creative labor is almost exceptional. Unraveling new universes of beautiful harmonious consecrations, where prevalent sensibilities converge to a horizon of serene perceptions, Vy Pole has elaborated, on this formidable album, a monument of graceful originality, while being at the same time profoundly loyal to all the elements inherent to post rock, reinventing the genre brightly, without distorting it.
