REST formed in 2014, by Alessandro Coos (guitarist for post-black metal band ASHES OF NOWHERE), to start a crust/black metal project with the idea of merging together the simplicity of crust music and the dark side of black metal. He was joined by Mattia Revelant on drums, Efis Canu (vocals in hardcore band INIRA) as vocalist and Marco Zuccolo (from post-hardcore band WHANE) as bass player, the guys recorded in August 2015 their first tracks at Inferi Studio, run by the same Efis Canu.
