With very rapid guitar riffs, that for the entire length of the album doesn’t know a truce, the tracks on Veren Muisto are built in a framework of completely aligned and abrasive circumspect resonances, where the fast rhythms basically dictates the progress and the pace of the songs, setting up the scenario for an extremely heavy rush of sonorous digression, where the basis are whimsically delineated with atmospheres of exhilarating aggression and resolute intuitions, as if they were singing to the wind a revengeful anthem saturated with a powerful overflow of emotions. Nonetheless, extremely challenging, resonating, and furious guitar riffs are the main structure of the songs in Veren Muisto, whose core of insidious and uplifting objective approach forms the basis of a deliberately compounding, dilacerating and somewhat visible distorting soundtrack of a war.
Veren Muisto is a perfect album! A masterpiece that you will want to hear over and over again, nonstop. Its aggressive lines of guitar, grounded in a songwriting craft that at the same time was able to kept its cohesive rhythms shaped in beautifully created harmonies, dense and fast, wrathful and harmonious, melodious and rough, all at the same time, doesn’t have to struggle to find its way to the audience: genuine and legitimate BM fans out there will be immediately drawn by the nefarious, direct, aggressive, relentless and excellent work of art that Veren Muisto managed to be! An outstanding album, that certainly could be considered one of the best underground BM albums in contemporaneous history, Order of the White Hand manages to be a symbol of pride to the genre, and their fully committed effort towards the development of Black Metal in general, and of their music in particular, is a great triumph for each and every one of us. For sure, the future has in hand a lot of other great masterpieces coming their way as well, and they will surely surprise us all, as they did with the groundbreaking work that Veren Muisto turned out to be.
