All We Expected are a Belgian band that have found their voice in the post rock universe.  After the first demo they released this is second batch of songs recorded by this band, and it all sounds perfect. All of the elements for a fine post rock band are there. The All We Expected side of this split opens with “Flood”,  a banger of a post rock song.

The softer and heavier parts follow up on each other like it could be a song written by bands like “Mogwai” or “Godspeed you”, clocking off at an incredible 10 minutes.  “We’re not born to live like brutes” follows the same stream but sounds a bit heavier from the start of. There is a lot of potential in this band, and they have yet to release a full album.

Raum Kingdom push their fierce post hardcore from Ireland. “Lost in the hunt” immediately marks down their sound; a dark sludge abyss with screaming vocals that remind me of bands like Tool or Amenra. I love the way their sound has its heavy uppers with pounding guitars , that flow into more melodic slower parts, it keeps me in a dark trance that not many bands can deliver. “Grace” tunnels deeper down this distorted maze of darkness, voices whisper their words, but also have a heavier side to them. Just like All we expected, I see a bright future for this band.
