With solid harmonies, yet compounded in a very dispersive sonorous layer, Aurora Borealis, despite a more diffuse style, is a very vigorous and elemental album. As you feel yourself lost at the vague nuances of chaotic and hazed melodies, a dark soundscape is masterly designed before you, submerged in the vastness of a gray emptiness, stranded at the right path of a gravely dark everlasting winter.
Despite a deeply massive, concentrated and thoroughly formulaic sound at times, all these tracks on Aurora Borealis conflagrate into your soul a very hypnotic and ecstatic sphere of purpose, as you can see through the sidelines of your own spirit, in a sound perpetuated by the lament of a circular melancholy, inserted in a sonorous context that correctly absorbed the most relevant influences of the genre.
Although this is not a great album, having its share of monotonous passages, Aurora Borealis displays a considerable and significant evaluation of originality. Never outlined between the sincerity of a formidable string of limits, undoubtedly, Aureole developed its own style, filled with the fast pace of a sensible sonorous connection, that works on a more aggressive stream of Atmospheric BM.
A good album, that certainly shows the potential of the artist to evolve and keep its style growing stronger and wiser, Aurora Borealis invites the listener to undergo a very dramatic travel, inside a very protuberant and frightening abyss, one which is hidden inside the obscure sidelines of the soul. Being the proper soundtrack for such a journey, this album is as sinister as it is introspective. It teaches you where does lie the domain to your own reliance. A figurative and solid speech, that talks to your shadow, in a silent sea of sorrow and solitude.
