Black Prism is an album by the eponymous Los Angeles acid/ stoner rock band, released on December 25, 2016. With eight tracks – Lone Pine, Eye For An Eye, Alaska, Psychomania, Satan's Country, Black Mountain Road, Booger Sugar and an untitled bonus track – this is undoubtedly one of the best albums that I have heard on the genre. Highly energetic, with beautiful, poetic and captivating melodies, Black Prism is a state of the art work, aimed at being considered a reference in the history of the genre.

With a highly solid and impeccable style, that overflows with security, confidence and originality, this album is an awesome and astounding reverberating melodic projection of rhythm, dissonance and authenticity.
Amalgamating poetic beauty with an immersive lucidity of thought, this record rereads the genres upon which its music is created, to positively throw in the air something imperatively new, effusively expansive and exceedingly higher. With an amazing guitar work, that holds the basis as well the structure of the songs, igniting an axis of proverbial hallucinatory anthems of cryptic disdain and emotion, the vocals are also another point of major quality here, although nothing is at fault. Each and every instrument converge perfectly together, to standardize a higher level of musical proficiency, aligned with a competent technicality, upon which the enormous talent of these exceedingly skilled musicians collide, in a degree of technical exhilaration that is becoming rarer, in any genre.

With presence, a remarkable degree of excellence, and an explicit desire to excel in their sonorous reverberation of marvelous expression, Black Prism vigorously breaks all barriers that could possibly exist in the wild rock genres. With an unbreakable, consistent and carefree spirit that resonates throughout their music, this album becomes a major source of inspiration for everyone listening to it!

Well, what can I say, besides the fact that Black Prism – both the band and the album – are a major artistic achievement, and the answer to the expectations of enthusiasts of the genre? With lucid and vital aspirations, this is a band that deserves to be on the wild rock map, with a splendid result, that opens the way for a great deal of possibilities.

For their excellence and extraordinary sound, Black Prism certainly deserves to reach its audience. They’re not just great, but exceedingly proverbial and dynamic, and the future ahead of them – I wish – is full of glory, concerts and a lot of other great albums, like this one.
