Party time, Icelandic way.  This country is definitely on my to-emigrate-to list but I'm not very sure if I will be accepted.  I surely hope so since it seems to be one of the few countries in the world where common sense is still a part of everyday life.  Besides, musically, Iceland has a lot to offer.  From the beautiful piano and electronics of Olafur Arnalds, over the awe-inspiring sounds of Mùm to the old fashioned stoner rock of The Vintage Caravan and the massive sound of Solstafir.  Iceland has it all.

Now I can easily add Chruchhouse Creepers to that list, right next to The Vintage Caravan to be exact.  With this debut, this trio seems ready to claim their place in rock 'n' roll history.  Fuzz-loaded stoner rock with a tremendous party-capacity, that's what we get from these guys and damn, it's contagious.  With elements from classic rock, grunge, punk and hard rock, these guys have made something suited for the upcoming new-year's parties.

From opener 'Party' to closer 'Apocalypse' this trio takes us on a path where bands like Led Zeppelin, The Vintage Caravan, Graveyard and Kadavar have been roaming for years. Mostly up-tempo rock 'n' roll with immersive riffs and upbeat drums.  Vocals are great too by the way, a bit subdued but powerful enough to make people sing along with some of the choruses.  That being said, I can easily imagine 'It's All Good' or 'Drunk Something' becoming fan favorites on live gigs.

No seriously, you have to check this out if you're into stoner rock and if albums by Truckfighters, Dozer or any other of those bands are in your collection.  This will fit it perfectly and will start a party wherever stoner rockers are present.  That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if I catch these guys at the next edition of DesertFest in Antwerp and I certainly wouldn't be surprised if they ended up in many people's top 5 of that festival.
