For several of our reviewers, Iron Bonehead Productions has been one of the most surprising labels, coming up with releases beyond obscurity and albums so vile and dark that even a seasoned metalhead would raise his eyebrows.   Some of those albums seem to come directly from the dark depths of hell.  This one is no different.  This is sick stuff, the musical equivalent of Dario Argento movies.

Dakhma is a Swiss one-man act, combining black, death and doom metal into something extremely haunting and terrifying.  In four incantations, primitive and ritual, this act takes me right back to the early days of the Scandinavian blackened wave, where it didn't matter what genre it was, as long as it was something no sane man could listen to.  Well, I guess I'm not very sane since I love this.

'Spirit (From the Plane)' is my favorite track, probably because of the dark, ritual ambient into and the thick wall-of-sound approach.  Besides, this is also the most funeral doom resembling track, which is always a huge plus in my book.  However, I have to say that the entire ep is a thick cesspool of extreme metal, dragging the listener ever further down into a spiral of distorted guitars, guttural growls and crushing drums.  Try it, I dare you...
