GreyAblaze is the eponymous debut of the Ukrainian atmospheric black metal band of the same name.  With five deeply energetic tracks, thoroughly elaborated into something allegorically beautiful and poetically intense, this album is a personal revolution for the underground scene. With an atmospheric intensity reinvigorated by some post metal elements, this album has beautiful tracks, that will make your mind undergo a deep journey throughout the entire universe, fulfilling a serenity that comes from another space, another dimension and another time, to say the least.

Beautifully calm, but heavy on the same time, GreyAblaze solidifies a sonorous majesty, underlined by the vast proficiency of an harmonic intuition. Deeply committed to a degree of excellence that proves their competence, this work amalgamates post metal, atmospheric black metal and small portions of raw black metal into a virtuous creation, designed to leave you fully admired.

With expansive melodies, that really compromise a spellbound effect into the vast strenuous rhythms, here you really have a great work that elevates the genre into the most supreme category. With a sensible integrity, and an imperial seriousness that conglomerates a vast consideration of elements into the composition of the music, what we have here is almost indefinite, in what concerns genre categorization. Despite that, their profound sense of uniqueness and superb originality really leaves you overwhelmed, especially when you think about their talent, and all the possibilities that comes with it.

With a powerful, detailed and inventive guitar work, that comes with a lot of unusual components, GreyAblaze gives us magical moments, filled with twists and spines. With majestic pieces of poetic beauty that really amplifies the potential of their soundscape, aligned with a sovereign greatness willing to explore all the musical possibilities that their particular style evokes in each and every scope of melody, this album subtlety evaluates the patterns upon which metal music is grounded. But creating a very different style, their strength is narrowed to more liberated artistic paths. Although in my personal evaluation this debut is not entirely perfect, it comes with such a level of distinction that, in fact, becomes a very strong promise. Extremely entrenched into a different, more original and lucid musical sphere, GreyAblaze really becomes an act of redemption and redefining, in what concerns atmospheric black metal. A major force of art, ready to achieve the impossible, and go far beyond.
