How about a swift, short and firm kick in the nuts to start your day?  Or in this case, how about your testicles being ripped off by seven inch claws, being crushed right in front of your eyes and force-fed back to you?  I know, it's a bit of a nasty thought but I am listening to the sonic equivalent of this brutal and inhumane activity.  Yes, this is brutal, harsh, intense and relentless.

Lambs hail from Italy and they definitely want to hurt you with their fierce, blackened soundwaves.  I needed only three songs to come up with some of the most horrible acts of torture imaginable to a man, and I'm usually a nice guy.  Yet, the aggression and despair coming from these songs are massive.

The ep opens with my favorite track, the haunting 'Fear Is Your Key', which immediately shows what Lambs stand for: blackened hardcore with a tremendous amount of energy.  Bands like Converge, Okkultokrati or Cursed often come to mind when I listen to these crushing anthems.  'You Will Follow Me Down' is another smashing track, which is quite odd since I'm not even into this genre.

Yes, that's true. I'm usually not really a fan of this genre but in a way Lambs surely convinced me of their abilities.  Even the complex and unnerving closer 'And Your Time Will Be Collapsed' caused a fierce headbanging session while I was supposed to write this review.  So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to listen again and open the gates of hell...
