Let Horse Be Bridled, Horn Be Sounded! is an album released by Russian Black Metal duo Moongates Guardian, on January 1. With nine tracks – Let Horse Be Bridled, Horn Be Sounded!, I Sit Beside the Fire and Think, The Dragon Is Withered, Elbereth Gilthoniel, The Mirror of Galadriel, The Lord of the Rings (a Blind Guardian cover), Beren and Luthien, Tom Bombadil and The Wind Was on the Withered Hearth – what we hear on this album is a vigorous and refreshing style of Black Metal, abundantly filled with melodic and epic elements, worked in an enormous and panoramic conjuncture, that permeates the structure of the songs on its entire sagacious run.

A marvelous album, with a high level of poetic and epical melodies, that easily reminds any Black Metal enthusiast of acts like Caladan Brood and Gallowbraid, Let Horse Be Bridled, Horn Be Sounded! is a major masterpiece. With coherent harmonies, lucidly ridden in an enormous context of glorious artistry, this is an impeccable album, that redefines the exhilarating brightness of a whimsical perfectionism, with colorful rhythms worked all the way through, chained by passages where a serene philosophy and a sincere melancholy embellishes the songs, in all vitality of its sentiments. Overcoming a sensational, expansive and poetic correlation of beauty with a majestic consistency, this record should enter the history of the most marvelous and inspiring Epic Black Metal albums in history!

Splendidly created, and spreading beauty throughout the ordination of its imperial melodies, one track is more beautiful than the other. Even the Blind Guardian cover can be heard without any hesitation, in a work that has no negative aspects to write about! With cohesive melodies and dream-like transient characteristics, this album is amplified by a multitude of majestic elements, that highly resonates throughout the whole record, in a scale of undeniable exposition, that makes this work in particular a wonderful exemplar of the genre!

Let Horse Be Bridled, Horn Be Sounded! will leave all Epic Black Metal fans exhilarated and astounded! A marvelous album, the product of genuine talents that perfectly understand the essence of the genre upon which they work, Moongates Guardian in the first day of the year has released what probably is destined to be regarded as one of the best – if the not the best above all – Epic Black Metal albums of the year. With the demise of important references of the genre – like the aforementioned acts Caladan Brood and Gallowbraid – Epic Black Metal has been losing space. Nonetheless, happily, a fantastic band like Moongates Guardian brings hope to the scene, in a marvelous, infuriating and epic work, that has everything to be considered one of the best Black Metal works ever made, in the history of the genre!
