Well, it was bound to happen one day. In my reviews for the webzine, I've been writing about this day-to-day playlist a lot. It's a massive list of songs, without genre restrictions and with only one specific rule: I have to like them. There around thousands of tracks here, from ambient soundscapes to blackened extremophiles and from happy-happy-joy-joy dance music to depressive doom metal. There is new wave, jazz, techno, drum & bass, grindcore, dub, noise, classical music, thrash metal and much much more. Today, I thought it would be a good idea to list some of these songs. Perhaps you discover a new favorite, or maybe a classic you'd forgotten about. From now on, I'll regularly publish a collection of these songs on this page and sometimes, I'll add a few words about it too.

Zolex — Time Modulator

Aah, electronic dance music, once seen as the natural enemy of everything I was listening to in my young years. Yet, still, some of those old dance tunes can still get me in the mood for a little dance around the living room. This piece by Belgian dance-deity Zolex remains a classic forever.

Underworld -- Second Hand

Nice tune, I like my dance music spacey and immersive. I remember one Underworld gig on a wet and muddy festival ground. I remember pulling my then girlfriend's feet out of the mud. She was knee deep in it.

John Barry -- Safari

The 'Out Of Africa soundtrack can be beautiful if played in the right setting. I really like this tune. It really deserves a spot in this list, even if I don't really know that much else about John Barry's work.

Rockin' Horse — Atlantis

This comes from an old compilation I found on a flea market. I don't know anything about this bands or this song and there is no video. But it still is a fun piece of surf music...

Zion Train — Fox

Aah, Zion Train, always fun. Seen them live not long ago, want to go again...

Wayward Bound — Like Lingering Ghosts

A Metallica inspired piece of post rock from Belgian one man act Wayward Bound. The song comes from the 'Public Isolation Booth' album, which is still highly recommended

Virgin Prunes — Decline And Fall

Still one of my favorites from these avant-garde weirdos, The Virgin Prunes...

pg.lost — Off The Beaten Path

Beautiful track from a beautiful album, which was only released recently. pg.lost has never let me down and they even seem to get better and better each time.

Jean Michel Jarre — Oxygene Part 6

Just of the many 'Oxygene' tracks by synth-guru Jean-Michel Jarre. There's a new part in these series as well, but for now, we'll just stick with the old ones...

Ambiq — Meta

Now, this is a nice piece of electronic music from Berlin based composed Ambiq.

Nadja — No Cure for the Lonely

Just one of the many awesome pieces on Nadja's cover album

Misantronics - K'ehm

Well, yeah, my own experimental ambient project Misantronics is also in my Day-To-Day playlist. Besides, 'K'ehm' fits quite well between these two songs...

Until Death Overtakes Me - This Dark Day

A seventeen minutes lasting epos of utter depression that will definitely get you crawling through the thick mud of your conscious being, or something like that. I've always loved the funeral doom ofUntil Death Overtakes Me.

Kong - Results

As much as I like their recent work, these old Kong tunes will always keep entertaining me to the fullest...

Nitin Sawhney — Ranjha

I bought and ripped this album by electronic artistNitin Sawhney a while ago, still think that was quite a good decision.

Mmoths - Heart (Feat. Keep Shelly in Athens)

Strange but impressive piece of electronic music by Irish Mmoths. I saw the act at Incubate a few years ago and quickly bought this ep.

Duel - Electrify

This was the opening track for the Desertfest gig of American rockers Duel. It started a party that was damn hard to stop...

Phantom Winter — The Darkest Clan

Such an eerie and haunting piece of winter doom by Phantom Winter, much like the entire 'Sundown Pleasures' album actually.
